Margit Staudinger

Senior Office Manager

Which department do you work in? What does your day to day work look like?

I work in the General Services department and work at reception. Together with my colleague, I welcome our customers and guests and look after the store alongside the beauticians. We're also the telephone switchboard, handle the internal mail distribution and mail flow as well as various other tasks.

How would you describe your role?

We've got an important role as the first point of contact for our customers and guests. This is where you get your very first impression of our company, so to speak. And that doesn't just apply to external visitors, many of our employees also come to us with their concerns.

What personal qualities do you need to have?

You have to be polite, friendly, tidy and accurate. It's also important to be able to listen, to both our colleagues and customers. We need to be able to work together for the greater good and be willing to learn.

How would you describe the CURA Cosmetics Group to your friends?

CURA Cosmetics is future-focused, innovative and open-minded. The social culture is a great motivation for all employees. You really feel like you're part of a family here.

Why are you doing the job you are doing today?

I enjoy working with lots of young people and helping the end customers.

How important is it to have a sense of humour in your job?

A sense of humour is key! I think it promotes creativity and enjoyment at work.

Do you enjoy working in a team?

Yes, I like that everyone works together and the family atmosphere across the entire CURA Cosmetics Group.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

I love variety that comes with my job: no two days are ever the same. I also like the different challenges and it's a pleasure to welcome our cheerful customers, who are always happy to step into our beautiful world - their words, not mine! Our customers' good mood is infectious - it spreads quickly and puts me in a good mood too.

Do you feel that your employer has kept you well informed during the pandemic and that sufficient measures have been taken?

Absolutely. We were updated by the management team on a weekly basis or whenever there were changes. Measures were implemented - sometimes before they became mandatory - and everyone complied with them.

What do you think about the management culture at CURA?

It's exemplary. Everyone is always very well coordinated, there is no competitive thinking. Everyone pulls in the same direction and is in the same boat.

Have you met Judith Williams in person or worked with her?

When I first met Ms. Williams she was so warm and immediately introduced herself as "Judith". My initial nerves disappeared. We rarely work directly with Judith, but when we do, like when something is needed for filming, she's always friendly, never arrogant and always up for a joke.
