Team Lead, Social Media & Influencer Marketing

Which department do you work in? What does your day to day work look like?

I work in the Communications department. We're responsible for all the content that ends up on social media, the website, online store, in print and with retail partners. We design multi-channel campaigns and also work on our social media presence with influencers to position our brand in the market. We've also built up live & video commerce skils.

How would you describe your role?

I lead the social media, influencer marketing and video commerce team. We manage 13 social media channels for three beauty brands - we plan the posts, think about what content appears when and where and are responsible for analysing and monitoring all content.

Influencer marketing plays an important role here. I select influencers for our beauty campaigns, negotiate prices, conclude contracts and oversee the collaborations. I also handle user-generated content (UGC). I work with customers who test products via our Customer Voice programme and then create content for us.

In addition to traditional content, I'm also responsible for live shows. These are broadcast both on social media and in our online stores, and my tasks include planning, selecting the products, carrying out the plan (behind and in front of the camera) and evaluating all of our broadcasts. We also work with influencers and experts from the beauty industry. The finished content is then edited and used as short videos on our website and social media to bring customers even closer to the products.

How would you describe the CURA Cosmetics Group to your friends?

Working at CURA is fast-paced and varied. No two days are the same and that's what makes my job so appealing. The whole team is young and young at heart and the work environment is relaxed and open-minded. I think it's great that development, progress and innovation are valued.
Although I've been working at CURA for several years, there are always things that surprise me and make me smile. The beauty industry is a niche where you can really let off steam creatively and CURA definitely takes advantage of that.

What personal qualities do you need to have?

To work at CURA, you need to be open, flexible, have a good sense of humour and be very organised. The fast-paced work environment gives you lots of opportunities for growth, but also creates challenges. With a motivated, hands-on mentality, you'll have a lot of fun at work and be able to celebrate many personal successes.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

The variety and positive working atmosphere are the biggest plus points for me. As we work on many projects at the same time, similar to an agency, there's never a dull moment. There's always something to do and something to learn. It's easy to make friends at CURA - everyone has a good sense of humour and manages to lighten up the work day with a pinch of sarcasm and the ability to make each other laugh.

Do you enjoy working in a team?

I think it's great to work on campaigns as a team, celebrating our successes together and growing together. Team work is key at CURA. Many of my colleagues have now become good friends and I enjoy working on creative concepts with them, looking forward to new projects and fine-tuning ideas.
(Of course, I wouldn't want to miss the sports activities after work, drinks at the weekend or trips together either :)
